Suffolk County is Long Island Sunroom Co.'s home territory. Our headquarters is in Huntington, and the majority of our 580+ completed projects are in Suffolk County communities. We know the housing stock across all ten towns.
Suffolk County spans approximately 912 square miles and includes some of Long Island's most diverse communities -- from the suburban neighborhoods of Huntington and Smithtown to the waterfront villages of Babylon and Islip, to the more rural character of eastern towns like Riverhead and Southampton.
The county's housing stock is varied: colonials and capes in Smithtown, ranches and split-levels in Commack and Central Islip, waterfront cottages and estates along the North and South Shores, and newer construction in the eastern towns. This variety means no two sunroom projects are identical, and our 14 years of local experience ensures each design fits its specific home and neighborhood.
We hold Suffolk County Home Improvement Contractor License #62445-H.
We build sunrooms in every Suffolk County town and community. Here are the areas where we work most frequently:
[Huntington](/areas/suffolk-county/huntington/) -- Our home base. We have built more sunrooms in the Town of Huntington than any other single municipality. The town's mix of waterfront properties, suburban neighborhoods, and historic villages provides a full range of project types.
[Babylon](/areas/suffolk-county/babylon/) -- South Shore town with strong demand for three-season rooms and screen rooms. The bay-side communities and proximity to Jones Beach mean outdoor living is central to the lifestyle here.
[Smithtown](/areas/suffolk-county/smithtown/) -- Family-oriented town with spacious lots and well-maintained colonials. The typical Smithtown home has strong architectural bones that sunroom additions complement nicely.
[Brookhaven](/areas/suffolk-county/brookhaven/) -- The largest town on Long Island by area, stretching from Patchogue and Bellport on the South Shore to Port Jefferson and Mount Sinai on the North Shore. We serve all of Brookhaven's communities.
[Islip](/areas/suffolk-county/islip/) -- Central Suffolk town that includes Bay Shore, Sayville, and Oakdale. Access to Great South Bay makes outdoor living space a priority for many Islip homeowners.
We also serve Riverhead, Southampton, East Hampton, Shelter Island, and Southold. Eastern Suffolk projects are scheduled with travel time factored in at no additional charge.
Along with conventional sunrooms, we build solariums and glass room additions across Suffolk County. A solarium glazes the roof as well as the walls, so it takes in considerably more daylight than a sunroom built under a solid insulated roof and stays bright through the short days of a Long Island winter.
A glass roof changes what the structure has to do. Panels must be specified for Suffolk County snow loads, the roof needs proper slope and drainage so meltwater and debris clear instead of pooling at the seams, and glazing choice carries more weight because an all-glass envelope moves heat far faster than an insulated one. Along the North and South Shores, salt air also calls for corrosion-resistant framing and marine-grade sealants.
Suffolk's larger lots give solariums room to work, particularly on the wooded properties around Huntington and Cold Spring Harbor and the ranches and split-levels common in Commack and Smithtown. Township building departments in Suffolk review glass-roof structures more closely than standard sunrooms, so we handle that submission as part of the project. For styles, glazing options, and what actually drives the price, see our guide to solariums on Long Island.

“Got quotes from four companies. Long Island Sunroom Co. was the only one who actually came out, measured, and explained what would work for our ranch. No pressure. Fair price.”
Robert K.
Huntington, Suffolk County
“Our screen room is perfect for dinner outside without the mosquitoes. The crew was respectful, cleaned up every day, and finished ahead of schedule.”
Patricia L.
Smithtown, Suffolk County
“Second time using LI Sunroom Co. First was a screen room in 2019, now a four-season addition. Same quality, same crew. They know what they are doing.”
Michael R.

“The patio enclosure turned our unused concrete slab into the most popular room in the house. Cathedral ceiling, sliding panels, and a ceiling fan. We practically live in it from March through November.”
Anthony C.
Islip, Suffolk County
“The whole process was painless. Tom walked us through the layout options, picked materials with us, and finished in 16 working days. No surprises, no upcharges.”
James D.
Brookhaven, Suffolk County
“We added the insulation upgrade and radiant floor heat. In December, the sunroom is warmer than our living room. Worth every penny.”
Linda F.
Huntington, Suffolk County
“Called on a Thursday, Tom was at our house Saturday morning. Estimate was ready by Monday. No other contractor moved that fast. Screen room was done in four days.”
Diane R.
Commack, Suffolk County
“We needed a sunroom that could handle our two golden retrievers. Tom recommended a three-season with composite flooring and heavy-duty screen panels. Holding up great after two years.”
Christine A.
East Northport, Suffolk County
“The four-season room is the nicest space in our house. Bronze-framed windows wrap three walls and we get views of the backyard from every angle. Worth the investment.”
Nancy E.
Cold Spring Harbor, Suffolk County
“Two neighbors on our street had sunrooms built by Tom's crew. That's how we found him. All three look different but the quality is the same. Clean work.”
Barbara J.
West Islip, Suffolk County
“Three contractors gave us vague timelines. Tom gave us a date, started on that date, and finished on the date he promised. The three-season room has been our favorite room ever since.”
Sandra M.

“Screen room was our best summer purchase. The kids eat dinner out there every night from May through September. No bugs, no pollen, and the breeze comes right through.”
